Storm-Bots Workshop “LCE-based Soft Robotics: from Materials to Functions”. 1 y 2 de febrero de 2024 en Etopia
(ES-English version below) Dentro del proyecto MSCA-ITN STORM-BOTS (GA: 956150), se celebrará el Workshop “LCE-based Soft Robotics: from Materials to Functions” los días 1 y 2 de febrero en el centro Etopia (Avda. Ciudad Soria, 8, Zaragoza). Este evento contará con las charlas de los investigadores del proyecto y conferencias invitadas de reconocidos investigadores del campo de los materiales funcionales, los elastómeros cristal líquido, manufacturación avanzada, y la robótica blanda.
El workshop está abierto a toda la comunidad científica.

STORM-BOTS (Soft and Tangible Organic Responsive Materials progressing roBOTic functionS) es una red de formación financiada por la Comisión Europea con 3,5 millones de euros a través de la convocatoria de Acciones Marie Sklodowska-Curie del programa marco H2020 (Acuerdo de Subvención nº 956150). La red está coordinada por el Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas, CSIC y cuenta con la participación de 17 universidades, institutos de investigación, empresas del campo de la robótica y otras instituciones de Alemania, Países Bajos, Italia, Reino Unido, Suiza, Finlandia y España. STORM-BOTS tiene como objetivo la formación de 13 jóvenes investigadores en el área de los materiales para robótica blanda. Tres de estos investigadores realizan sus tesis doctorales en el Instituto de Nanociencia y Materiales de Aragón (INMA), centro mixto del CSIC y la Universidad de Zaragoza.
(EN) As part of the MSCA-ITN STORM-BOTS project (GA: 956150), the workshop "LCE-based Soft Robotics: from Materials to Functions" will be held on the 1st and 2nd of February at the Etopia Centre (Avda. Ciudad Soria, 8, Zaragoza). The event will include presentations by the project's researchers and guest lectures by renowned researchers in the fields of functional materials, liquid crystal elastomers, advanced manufacturing and soft robotics.
The workshop is open to the wider scientific community. External participants are welcome after registration – free of charge.

About the project: STORM-BOTS (Soft and Tangible Organic Responsive Materials progressing roBOTic functionS) is an Innovative Training Network funded by the European Commission with 3.5 million euros through the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions of the H2020 Framework Programme (Grant Agreement No. 956150). The network is coordinated by the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and involves 17 universities, research institutes, robotics companies and other institutions from Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, the UK, Switzerland, Finland and Spain. STORM-BOTS aims to train 13 young researchers in the field of materials for soft robotics. Three of these researchers are conducting their doctoral theses at the Instituto de Nanociencia y Materiales de Aragón (INMA), a joint centre of the CSIC and the University of Zaragoza.
