What is the SICUE Program?

SICUE (exchange system among Spanish universities) is a national “mobility program” which allows the exchange of national university students inside the national territory, with immediate recognition of the student’s coursed credits .

The SICUE Program is an exchange system, not a student grant, although it is supported by the SENECA grants awarded by the Ministry of Education and Science and which will be announced a month after the SICUE announcement. To apply for the SENECA grant it is an essential requirement to have obtained a mobility place and to have a 1.5 average general mark, 1.2 in the case of technical certificates.

The stay at the assigned university will last 3, 4, 6 or 9 months, according to the bilateral agreements signed by the different universities.

Requirements to become a SICUE student at the FVZ

To have exceeded 90 credits and to be registered in other 30 more credits of the degree, all al them counted up to the September or December exams, in your case, up to previous course exams.

Assignment of the SENECA grants

To apply for a SENECA grant won’t be possible if the mobility has not been requested before.

The average note of the accumulated process will have to be equal or superior to 1,5 points in all the qualifications, except in the technical educations that it will be 1,2.

The approximate amount of these grants is 500 Euros a month and a unique financial support of 120 to cover some travel costs.

In case it is a SENECA grant, you should make sure it is compatible with any other grant, either it is a private one, or it has been assigned by the Science and Innovation Ministry, except the mobility grants. The SENECA grants are financed by the Science and Innovation Ministry and payments to students will be quarterly fulfilled.

Assignment Considerations taken into account when applying for a SENECA grant

It is necessary to be registered in the University of Zaragoza in the corresponding course and have quite clear the subjects that are going to be developed in the assigned university. All that will be included in the Academic Agreement application form.

Steps to be followed once all the above has been selected

  1. Fulfil the Academic Agreement application form together with the coordinator, always including the selected subjects to be coursed at the appointed university and their equivalents at the University of Zaragoza. This application form must be signed by the student, the coordinator and the dean of the centre.
  2. Register on the corresponding course at the University.
  3. The academic learning agreement application form is the only one which must be fulfilled at the University of Zaragoza before leaving. In case you have received a SENECA grant, you should also fulfill other application forms, but now at the designated university.
